Sony Music Drops R. Kelly Over Documentary ‘Surviving R. Kelly’

R. Kelly’s been with Sony since the early days of his career, and has been under contract with its subsidiary label, RCA, since 2012. A separate report from Variety Friday worded the move as an outright dropping of Kelly. R. Kelly gets reportedly evicted from his Chicago music studio which was also the place where he held girls in a sex cult

Since the premiere of the documentaries featuring R. Kelly’s alleged abusers, things have been heating up for the R&B legend and he’s facing a lot of criticisms. Sources in direct contact to the property told Blast that R.Kelly has exactly 2 weeks to settle on thousands of dollars ($80K) in rent that he still reportedly owes or police will have full jurisdiction to enter the property and remove everything themselves.
